The position differs from other occupational therapist positions with us, as it has 50% allocated to the short-term unit and the remaining 50% is intended for patient work based on incoming care needs and waiting lists.

As the patient-responsible occupational therapist for the short-term unit, you will work closely with the responsible physiotherapist and other professionals in the team based on set goals for the intervention.

The other 50% you will work with colleagues to manage and prioritize care needs. Our focus is on a good work environment and patient safety, thus there is room based on needs in each case. The work is systematic and free, we base our work on the principle of equal care regardless of housing form or geographical area and work together with incoming cases where cases are handled based on priority, competence, and capacity.

As a patient-responsible Occupational Therapist, your tasks include;

- Municipal rehabilitation; assessments, prescriptions, and trials based on the prescription process. The patient has a significant involvement in the goals of our interventions.

- Interprofessional collaboration based on the needs of the current patient case and conditions, for example with physiotherapists, nurses, quality assistants, nursing assistants, unit managers, and case managers.

- Lead based on your profession. We work a lot through the care staff whom you lead, support, and motivate through your knowledge.

- In the assignment at the short-term unit, there is close collaboration with discharge rehab, which is responsible for safe discharge from the hospital to the short-term unit on the first day; thereafter, short-term rehab takes over.

- In the short-term responsibility, you are to ensure and plan for discharge to the patient's home in the first days.

We are looking for you who is a licensed occupational therapist. It is meritorious if you have experience in the profession and/or from municipal rehabilitation as well as knowledge of municipal operations and politically governed organizations. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing is required.
In this role, you must have a B driver's license for manual transmission. Personal suitability is also taken into account.
